Certification is the highest level of recognition given by The Florida Bar for experience within an area of law. All lawyers are allowed to advertise, but only certified attorneys are allowed to identify themselves as “Florida Bar Board Certified” or as a “specialist.”

Each certified lawyer must be able to show substantial involvement in a minimum of 25 contested workers’ compensation cases. These cases must include significant legal or factual issues, and the applicant must be responsible for all or a majority of client representation and presentation of facts during these cases.

Not every qualified lawyer is certified. The ones who choose to pursue board certification have taken the extra step to have their competence and experience recognized.

Matt Carrillo has become Board Certified in order to show that he will bring his specialized knowledge to your case. With thorough expertise in workers’ compensation law and years of case experience under his belt, Matt Carrillo offers you the highest quality legal services.
