Work injuries are venued in the county where the injury occurred most often.  Venue is the court in which your case will be heard.  For example, if you are injured in Gainesville, Florida; the venue will be Alachua county.  The court or district office assigned to Alachua county is the Gainesville District office.

Where you live does not determine where your case is heard.  Even if you live in Jacksonville, but are injured in Lake City, your workers' compensation case will still be heard in the Gainesville District because Lake City is in Columbia county, which is in the Gainesville District.

The Office of Judge of Compensation Claims is governed by the Florida Division of Administrative Hearings and they control which counties are in which district offices.  The full list of District Offices can be found here:   https://www.jcc.state.fl.us/JCC/districts/
